HOW SENTINEL WORKS

Sentinel Forensic is a tool designed to capture Immutable Truth on the Solana Seeker. This guide explains requirements and verification.

1. CRITICAL: Wallet Connection

Sentinel is built exclusively for the Solana Mobile Stack (SMS).

You MUST use the device's native Mobile Wallet Adapter (e.g., via Phantom or Solflare installed on your Solana Phone).
This tool is NOT COMPATIBLE with standard web browsers, desktop extension wallets, or external hardware wallets not connected via the Mobile Adapter.
Please ensure your phone's wallet is unlocked before capturing evidence.

2. Privacy Architecture (Local Storage)

The most important feature of Sentinel is privacy. When you capture evidence:

The Full Photo remains 100% LOCAL on your device.
We DO NOT upload your photos to any cloud, server, or database.
You maintain full custody of the original file within your device's secure storage.

3. What goes on the Blockchain?

If the photo stays on the phone, how do we certify it? We use Cryptography.

When you sign the transaction via the Wallet Adapter, we generate a Digital Fingerprint (SHA-256 Hash). This fingerprint is permanently written into the MEMO field of the Solana transaction.

Analogy: The "Memo" is like the notes section of a bank transfer, but immutable and public forever.

4. The "Tamper-Proof" Verification

This is the core security feature. The App calculates the ID (Hash) of the photo in your gallery in real-time and compares it to the ID recorded on the Blockchain.

⚠️ WARNING:
If you edit the photo in your gallery (crop, filter, adjust color) or modify even 1 pixel:

1. The Local ID (Hash) will change immediately.
2. It will NOT MATCH the Hash stored in the Blockchain Memo.
3. The evidence will be flagged as "TAMPERED" / INVALID.

5. How to Verify (Step-by-Step)

After a successful capture, you can verify your evidence independently:

1 Go to History in the App and tap the "Solana Explorer" link.

2 On the Explorer page, scroll down to the section labeled "Instruction" or "Memo".

3 You will see a text string starting with "Sentinel Proof: [Your-Hash]".

4 Compare that text with the Hash shown in your App. If they match, the photo is 100% authentic.
